Town looks ahead to big season

One of the top 2015 quarterbacks in the West is Ricky Town, who's looking forward to a big sophomore season at Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaveture and then maybe some offers will start coming in.
Miami and Boston College continue to show the most interest in Town, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect who has looked good at multiple events this summer.

He's now focused on performing well on Friday nights this season and believes that is the first big step in what might become a busy recruiting process.
"I'm really excited," Town said. "We have a lot of potential. Our coaches are really good, the offense we run and the playbook is amazing. I'm excited to get out there and show what I have.
"Both Boston College and Miami said they just want to see me win games so that's what I'm focused on right now is getting better and winning. The rest will take care of itself regarding offers."
Town, who recently received a recruiting letter from LSU, said Miami offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch might come to one of his games this season and he would like to return the favor.
If at all possible, the 2015 quarterback would like to take a trip to Miami, maybe during St. Bonaventure's bye week, just to see the program again after visiting for the first time this summer.
"As of now I really haven't planned anything," Town said. "During our bye week I'm trying to get to Miami to watch one of their games. Jedd Fisch said he wants to come and watch one of my games.
"It would definitely be important to get down there again just to get a better look and to make sure that's a spot I'd like to go."
Town has looked good this summer at the Southern Cal Rivals.com Showcase Powered by FBU Select and the Rivals.com Underclassmen Challenge among other places.
