Town lands another big offer

Ricky Town had not heard from USC early in the day but a little later on the 2015 quarterback from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure got a message that the Trojans' coaching staff wanted to talk to him.
An offer was on the way.

"One of my teachers text messaged me that coach (Ed) Orgeron and coach (Lane) Kiffin were trying to talk to me," Town said. "I talked to Orgeron first and he said to call coach Kiffin. I called coach Kiffin after and that's when they offered.
"It's really cool. It's a big offer definitely. It's an honor to get an offer from a school like that. It's cool that I went down there and showed them my skills and they were impressed with it. It's a really good feeling."
USC is the newest offer for Town but certainly not the only one he's received this summer.
After camping at Texas, Alabama and Georgia all three programs offered and he also has Arizona State, Florida State, Miami and UCLA on his offer list.
The offer from the Trojans is definitely big but Town is not ready to make any decisions. He has not even started his junior year football season so he wants to take his time with the process. No timetable has been set for a commitment.
"They're definitely high on my list but everything is kind of equal," Town said. "I just have to consider everything."
The 2015 quarterback is not done with trips for this summer, either. Town plans to camp at Stanford next weekend as he continues to show interest in the Cardinal.
He and his family are also discussing another unofficial visit to Alabama to watch a preseason practice sometime in August but nothing is finalized there.
Earlier in the day, USC offered 2015 quarterback Josh Rosen from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco.
