Ricky Town reportedly had a strong workout at USC last week and in a few days the 2015 quarterback is supposed to call the coaches to see if he can add the Trojans to his offer list.
"On July 9 they want me to call back," Town said.
"I hope it comes. I'm really not sure though."
The Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure quarterback said he really liked working with the USC coaching staff especially position coach Clay Helton.
USC has shown a good deal of interest in Town and he's hopeful heading into his junior season he can add that offer to his impressive list.
So far, Town has received offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Miami, Texas and UCLA. One more trip could also be in the works for later this month and that means another offer could be on the way.
"I love the coaching staff (at USC)," Town said. "Coach Helton is a really great guy so I enjoyed working with him and it was definitely a blast.
"That was probably my last trip but I might go to LSU in late July. Other than that I'm really focused on St. Bonaventure right now."
With so many big-time offers coming in so early, Town said he's not going to rush a decision. Many other schools could come in but for now the 2015 prospect is going to focus on his junior season and then be concerned with the decision-making process much later.
It's been a great summer - and Town hopes it isn't finished yet.
"It's exciting," Town said. "It went really well and so I'm going to keep focused on my team right now but everything went really well.
"I'm just trying to take my time with it and make the right decision. I'm probably going to wait."
