Town back from big trips

Ricky Town took another round of trips and it paid off in a big way for the 2015 quarterback from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure.
Texas is the latest offer for Town and he said his recent trip to Austin went well. He met with coach Mack Brown and co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Major Applewhite, landed another major offer and said the Longhorns are under serious consideration.

"It's definitely big," Town said. "I'm definitely excited about the Texas one. I think it's a great school and coach Brown was awesome so I really enjoyed it.
"I worked a lot with coach Applewhite. I really liked him as a person and a coach, too, so I liked it a lot."
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect who looked good at the Rivals Camp Series in Los Angeles also visited Georgia on his recent road trip. Town was not offered but was given a timetable on when he should know whether the Bulldogs will decide on a 2015 quarterback.
The trip to Athens was definitely impressive so Town is hopeful Georgia pulls through in the coming weeks.
"I like Georgia a lot, too," Town said.
"It's a great atmosphere and a beautiful campus. I really like it there. We talked to the coaches and they said right now they're waiting to offer. They said July 12 is the day they're going to decide on their offer because they're evaluating all these different quarterbacks in my class."
The 2015 quarterback said he's going to try to visit USC and UCLA in the coming weeks but is not sure about those trips. Alabama and Texas are the latest offers for Town so things are going great for the rising junior.
"Those are definitely huge offers," Town said. "I'm excited and I'm trying to not let it get to my head. I want to stay focused. It's definitely exciting but I still have two seasons of high school football left so I'm going to stay focused on that."
In total, Town has offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Miami, Texas and UCLA.
