Tough times for sleeper

Wide receiver Isaiah Burel (6-3, 180, 4.53) from Redlands (Calif.) East Valley has had a run of bad luck recently. First he had a visit to Utah postponed and then he was scheduled to visit Colorado State for a mid-week visit and that visit too was canceled.
"Colorado State had only two recruits visiting so they canceled," Burel said. "It is up in the air if I will end up visiting CSU since they recently received a commitment from a wide receiver and they are not sure if they are going to take another receiver. I will know about after the bowl games."

"I have two new visits to Idaho and Idaho State," Burel said. "I will visit Idaho on January 13th and the date for Idaho State has been set yet."
Burel finished his senior season with 50 receptions for 891 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also helped East Valley on special teams by returning seven punts for 74 yards with an average of 10.7 per punt return. He also returned 14 kickoffs for 367 yards with an average of 26.2 yards per kick. His long kick return was for 91 yards and a touchdown."
On defense getting spot duty, Burel has 13 tackles and three interceptions.
In an earlier interview with East Valley Coach Kurt Bruich was very complementary about his sleeper wide receiver.
"The best thing that Isaiah does is run great routes," Bruich said. "Teams try to double him, but they can't. He's mastered the double move."
"Isaiah is fearless as a receiver," Bruich said. "He will catch the ball in traffic."
"Isaiah has excellent hands," Bruich said. "He's also an outstanding runner after he makes the catch."
