Rodriguez Price is a two-way standout from Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside High School. They are 3-2 on the season and have gone this far without one of their top stars in Price. He tore his ACL right before the season.
"It happened the week before the first game," Price said. "It was as soon as we came back from camp. We have new turf. I made a plant and my knee went the wrong way. I am still trying to recover. I had surgery two or three weeks ago.
"Something like this happens to you after you put in all that hard work with the camps, combines, and everything else. You are trying to do everything right and then this happens. Then you wonder what would happen with recruiting and my college situation. You wonder about your future. The injury made me appreciate the game so much more. It tore me apart. I actually went out there and tried to play because I didn't want it to be over. This is my senior year."
Price, who plays both running back and defensive back, has offers from Akron and Army. He's also still talking with Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech.
"I will take an official visit there (Akron) and I still have an offer. Army is waiting on test score. I just hope everything works out at this point."
