With less than three months to National Signing Day, top prospects across the country are beginning to come off the board. Here is a look at the best players in the Midwest region who have not made their pledges yet and where things stand with each of them.

Rank: No. 167 overall, No. 7 inside linebacker
Recruiting Wrap: Even before he de-committed from Michigan on Nov. 6, the race for Kirkland had been heating up since he took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame in early October that signaled he was willing to look at other options. Michigan is now no longer part of the conversation -- and Notre Dame is not either -- but a final five of Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and USC has emerged by way of Kirkland setting official visits with those schools. The trips to Ole Miss and Oklahoma have been completed, while Tennessee, Texas and USC will be visited over the course of the next four weekends. Kirkland is an early enrollee, so a decision is expected soon after his trips.

DT
Neville Gallimore
St. Catherine's (Ont.) Canada Prep Academy
Rank: No. 219 overall, No. 18 defensive tackle
Recruiting Wrap: Gallimore took his first official visit to Oklahoma in September and his second official visit went to Florida State the weekend of Oct. 17. Oregon is scheduled to host Gallimore for an official visit this upcoming weekend, followed by an official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Nov. 28. Gallimore named a top five in September that also included Florida, but with the recent dismissal of Gators head coach Will Muschamp, that fifth official visit remains open. Alabama, Auburn and USC have all come on strong in the last few weeks and are pushing to be Gallimore's final official visit destination.

DE
Raequan Williams
Chicago (Ill.) DePaul College Prep
Rank: No. 25 strongside defensive end
Recruiting Wrap: Williams had a tentative list of official visit dates scheduled in October, but always was going to leave room for Michigan State if it offered. The Spartans came through with that offer in late October, and now Williams is headed to East Lansing for his official visit this upcoming weekend. With a number of Michigan State fans in his family, the Spartans could be tough to beat for the Chicagoland defensive tackle. He took an official visit to Iowa the weekend of Oct. 31 and also has a trip scheduled to Arizona, where he has family, for the weekend of Dec. 5. Another official visit to Missouri has been tentatively scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 12, but his own basketball schedule could interfere with that trip.

DB
Mykelti Williams
Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central
Rank: No. 24 safety
Recruiting Wrap: With his senior season now complete, Williams says his focus has turned completely to the recruiting process. He has scheduled his first official visit for the weekend of Nov. 29 to Louisville and expects to make official visits to Nebraska and Ole Miss in the month of December. Of the schools that have offered, those three should be considered the teams to beat. However, Williams continues to maintain contact with Ohio State and Northwestern and offers from either of those two schools would likely be reciprocated with official visits. Illinois and Indiana also remain in contention for those final two official visits.
