Throughout the week, Rivals.com has released their updated 2024 rankings. Once again, the state of Alabama has a strong presence within the Rivals250, which features 11 prospects from the Yellowhammer State.

There has also been some notable movement within the updated Alabama state rankings, which were released on Friday. We take a look at the top storylines within the talent-rich borders including who's at the top, the biggest movers, and new names to keep an eye on.

Henderson remains No. 1:

Henderson has held the No. 1 spot in the state for a while now and after displaying his talents throughout the spring and summer, there is no reason to argue. The four-star prospect released a Top 5 back in July that included Georgia, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Auburn, and Oklahoma. However, Alabama recently extended an offer, so it will be interesting to see where the Crimson Tide set in his recruiting process moving forward. Henderson has set a commitment date for November 6th.

Riddick moves to No. 2:

Riddick was one of the biggest risers in the Rivals250 rankings, jumping up 47 spots and now setting as the 87th best player in the nation. Naturally, the 6-foot-3, 206-pound prospect jumped up three spots in the latest state rankings to claim the No. 2 spot behind Henderson. The four-star also released a Top 5 list back in July that consists of Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. Riddick visited and camped with Georgia, Florida State, and Tennessee this summer. He plans to return to those three schools for game day visits this fall along with Oklahoma and Kentucky.

Dixon slides into Top 10:

To say Dixon had a stellar summer may be an understatement. Offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, NC State, Oklahoma, and Michigan State all came through for the four-star prospect throughout June and July. Dixon made visits to Alabama, Auburn, and LSU during the summer and plans to return in the fall for game days along with Tennessee and Ole Miss.

Debuts to know:

The Hoover (Ala.) linebacker has burst on the scene after a very productive summer that saw the three-star pick up new offers from South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia, Washington, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Michigan State. Shaw is definitely a prospect on the rise.
