Top safety wants to end it early

Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln safety Pat Watkins has been pretty consistent both on and off the field.
Watkins said he has already racked up an amazing 70 plus tackles and two interceptions as a free safety. He said he averages a consistent 10 tackle a game average.

And he's consistent with his recruiting.
Georgia, Miami, Florida State, USC and Notre Dame are his consistent teams with both the Dawgs and Canes remaining consistent "slight leaders" on his list.
"What I like about Georgia is that my really good friend is up there - Mike Gilliam," Watkins said. "I might like Miami a little bit more because, well, it's Miami and they know how to play defense."
However, for the first time in a while, Watkins said Florida State has made up some ground.
"My family and coaches keep hinting that they'd like me to stay a little bit closer to home," Watkins said. "If I could play early, then that might make FSU a good option."
Watkins also said he's thinking about maybe ending the recruiting process a little bit earlier than he thought.
"I was thinking about all five visits," he said. "But this is starting to wear on me. I'm thinking it might be time to get it over with by November."
