Top-rated OL visits Tar Heels

The nation’s top-rated offensive guard paid a visit to North Carolina this past weekend.
“It was a good trip overall,” said four-star Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln lineman Calvin Darity. “The people were great, and they have a beautiful campus. It’s a real friendly, comfortable atmosphere there. It’s a good college town.”

How did it rate against his lone previous visit to Nebraska?
“I’m not really rating any of my schools right now,” he said. “I’m still interested in all five. I won’t make any kind of decision until I take all my visits.”
The next stop for Darity (6-4, 275, 4.9) will be LSU this weekend. He plans to be at Tennessee on the 23rd and conclude his visits at hometown Florida State on the 30th.
Asked if the Bayou Bengals’ national championship has elevated their stock in his eye, Darity said: “I was always interested in them from the beginning, even before they won it all. But it’s nice. They’ve got a strong program right now.”
The Seminoles are considered the team to beat for Darity, but it appears his decision may go down to the final weekend.
