Top QB/RB Performers: Corky Kell Classic

Recruiting wrap: Jackson is committed to Georgia Southern.
Performance: The three-star running back had an incredible
night, rushing for 161 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries. Jackson
has great speed and terrific vision, making him a perfect fit for McEachern's
exciting offensive attack. Georgia Southern appears to have landed a steal, and
it wouldn't be surprising to see several Power Five schools coming calling
before the season is over.
QB
Bailey Hockman (2017)
Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern
Recruiting wrap: Hockman is committed to Georgia.
Performance: With his team quickly overpowering its competition en route to a
blowout victory, it was a short night for the Georgia commit. He finished the
game 5-of-12 passing for 101 yards and one touchdown. He had another touchdown
called back due to a penalty and showed a strong arm when letting the ball fly
deep. He struggled at times with his accuracy on intermediate routes, but
all-in-all it was a successful night for Hockman.
QB
Baron Radcliff (2017)
Norcross, Ga.
Recruiting wrap: Radcliff is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: Radcliff caught the eye of Rivals.com Midwest Analyst Josh
Helmholdt at Ohio State's camp over the summer and, based on the way
Radcliff impressed in his first
career start, it's easy to see why. Radcliff is still very raw as a
passer, but at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds and super athletic, he's a matchup nightmare for
defenses. He finished the game with 130 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while
going 3-of-8 passing for 27 yards, one touchdown and one interception. It
shouldn't be long until schools start offering Radcliff.
QB
Kyle Banks
Dallas (Ga.) North Paulding
Recruiting wrap: Banks is committed to Middle Tennessee State.
Performance: It was an up and down night for Banks, who looked very sharp at
times, but ultimately was undone by the difference in talent between his team
its opponent, talent-rich Archer. Banks finished the game 16-of-37 passing for
195 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. While his stats might not
necessarily reflect it, Banks showed poise beyond his years and looks like a
nice pick up for the Blue Raiders.
ATH
Garrett Rigby
Tucker, Ga.
Recruiting wrap: Rigby has offers from Illinois, Iowa,
Iowa State, USF and others.
Performance: While his future is likely on defense, Rigby started at quarterback
for Tucker and was one of the few bright spots for his team. Rigby had 36 yards
rushing on nine carries and also completed 6-of-13 passes for two touchdowns and
one interception. On defense he lead both teams in tackles with seven, capping a
solid performance. Rigby may not have a permanent position, but he has the
talent to play at the next level.
ATH
Josiah Futral (2018)
Marietta (Ga.) Kell
Recruiting wrap: Futral is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: Futral burst onto the scene with an excellent performance on
Saturday morning, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 carries.
The speedy prospect is listed at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds and is also a baseball
prospect, but if he can keep making plays with the ball in his hands this season
he may have a future on the gridiron.
RB
Kameron Pickett
Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett
Recruiting wrap: Pickett is committed to Miami-Ohio.
Performance: Pickett was one of the few bright spots for North Gwinnett, which
was blown out by defending state champion Colquitt County. He finished the game
with 14 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown and also caught two passes out of
the backfield. Pickett isn't flashy, but he gets the job done and should fit in
nicely at Miami.
RB
Jaelen Green (2017)
Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek
Recruiting wrap: Green is waiting on his first offer.
Performance: It was a solid night for Green, who finished with 84 yards and a
touchdown on just seven carries, the highlight of which was a 51-yard scamper.
At 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds, Green has a solid build and will have ample
opportunities to put together an impressive junior season.
10
RB
Marvin Hubbard (2017)
Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek
Recruiting wrap: Hubbard has an offer from Memphis.
Performance: Hubbard shares the backfield with Greene and finished the game with
eight carries for 53 yards while splitting carries in a blowout victory. Hubbard
is solidly built and has good speed to go along with excellent vision. He or
Greene would be the feature backs at several high school programs and both
should find a home at the FBS level.
11
RB
D.J. Owens
Dallas (Ga.) North Paulding
Recruiting wrap: Owens has offers from California,
UCF and others.
Performance: When he was carrying the ball as a running back on Friday night it
was easy to see why several programs have shown interest in 5-foot-11, 196-pound
back. As a running back he had 64 yards on just five carries and look natural at
the position. He spent most of the game lined up a wide receiver and while he
did haul in four passes for 37 yards, he also dropped several passes. In order
to find a Power Five home, Owens will have to show more consistency catching the
ball as the season progresses.
12
RB
Jesse Brown
Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood
Recruiting wrap: Brown is committed to Northwestern.
Performance: For the second straight year at Corky Kell, Brown couldn't really
find his footing, finishing the day with just 55 yards on 16 carries. His 3.4
yards per carry average. Last year at the event he had 40 yards on 14 carries.
Brown impressed Northwestern with an excellent camp showing, but he will have to
improve his vision and explosiveness to make an impact at the next level.
