Top QB Likes Notre Dame and Michigan

Quarterback Matt Gutierrez (6'4 210 4.8) from Concord DeLaSalle (CA) is one of the country's top signal callers. Gutierrez, who participated in the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp, threw for 1700 yards last season. He connected for 23 scores and was picked off just four times.
"I visited USC and UCLA in the spring," Gutierrez said. "And I went to Michigan and Notre Dame in July. Last week I visited Florida State, Florida, and Miami. And I'm also looking at Washington, Oregon, Tennessee, and Cal. All of them except Florida State and Florida have offered me. I don't have a favorite. I haven't set any of my visits up yet."
As far as his trip to the Midwest, Gutierrez said, "I liked both Notre Dame and Michigan a lot. Michigan has tradition and great facilities. The campus is nice. And I like coach Hoke. Notre Dame of course has great tradition. The campus was amazing. It was pretty overwhelming, but in a good way. I liked the coaches there too."
