Top Performers: Carolina Classic 7-on-7

Recruiting wrap: Middleton said that Alabama is his leader.
Performance: Middleton is a huge target for quarterbacks. He is tough to stop once he gets into his route. Middleton made a number of plays down field, including a long touchdown after catching the pass on a post route over the middle. It was impressive how fast Middleton was with the ball in his hands.

DB
Marquill Osborne
Charlotte (N.C.) Hough
Recruiting wrap: Osborne is committed to Tennessee.
Performance: Osborne was the most reliable cornerback on the field on Saturday. He was very physical at the line of scrimmage and used his great footwork and loose hips to turn and run with receivers that tried to get down field. He batted away a number of passes and even got involved on the offensive side of the ball.

WR
Emeka Emezie (2017)
Cuthbertson (N.C.) Marvin Ridge
Recruiting wrap: Miami, Boston College and Old Dominion have offered Emezie.
Performance: Emezie has made major strides as a player since last season. His improved body control and overall strength have helped him become a better route runner and made him more effective in jump ball situations. Emezie made some very important touchdown catches including the game-winner in the championship game.

WR
Ryan Jones (2017)
Charlotte (N.C.) Ardrey Kell
Recruiting wrap: Jones holds offers from Clemson, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and many others.
Performance: Jones was a big-time playmaker when his offense needed him. In tough spots Jones came up big with receptions for long touchdowns. He isn't a burner but there are subtle movements and his routes that helped him create a lot of separation.
6
WR
Corey Sutton
Charlotte (N.C.) Hough
Recruiting wrap: Schools like James Madison, Colorado State and Appalachian State have offered Sutton.
Performance: Sutton is often overlooked but made a number of big plays on Saturday. He runs crisp routes and has a large catch radius. That catch radius helped Sutton bring in catches with defenders draped all over him. If a smaller defender was covering Sutton he would get the ball on nearly every other play.

WR
Kelvin Harmon
Palmyra, N.J.
Recruiting wrap: Harmon seems to be favoring Rutgers but says he needs to take more visits.
Performance: Quarterbacks love throwing to Harmon because they know he is going to go after passes not many other receivers will. He was leaping and stretching for overthrown balls in the middle of the field and jump balls in the end zone all day. Harmon showed the knack for making tough, athletic catches and didn't stop coming back for more on the very next play.
8
WR
Brad Hawkins Jr.
Camden, N.J
Recruiting wrap: Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Rutgers are some of the schools standing out to Hawkins.
Performance: Hawkins is such a reliable receiver. He works the middle of the field very well and was always there for his quarterbacks in tough situations. Hawkins always seemed to be open because he runs great routes and covers a lot of ground coming out of his breaks.
9
DB
Elvis Hines (2017)
Haddonfield (N.J.) Paul VI
Recruiting wrap: Hines holds offers from Temple and Old Dominion.
Performance: Hines has great length and the ability to anticipate throws. When he combined the two on one play it usually resulted in him knocking down a pass or getting an interception. Hines is a veteran of the 7-on-7 circuit and it seems like his game has improved in nearly every outing.
10
WR
Hunter Hagdorn
Manvel, Texas
Recruiting wrap: Harvard and Illinois have offered Hagdorn
Performance: Hagdorn did most of his work within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage but there wasn't a single player that could stop him from gaining between five and 15 yards a catch. If his team needed a short gain for a first down or a touchdown, Hagdorn got the ball every time. He made his living running short crossing or whip routes.
11
WR
Jhamon Ausbon (2017)
Houston (Texas) Episcopal
Recruiting wrap: Maryland has offered Ausbon.
Performance: Ausbon may not have had a huge day receiving but his skills were very evident. He is an extremely smooth runner and it seemed like he almost effortlessly left his defender in the dust. Ausbon has a huge catch radius and does not fight the ball as it comes into his hands.
