The offers are starting to pour in for Hialeah (Fla.) Miami Lakes offensive guard Mike Alvarez. However, the one he wants could still be a few weeks away.
"I have offers from Auburn, NC State, Iowa and Rutgers right now," said the 6-foot-2, 270-pounder who also plays defensive tackle. "But Miami is my favorite and I'd commit to them in a second. They're Miami -- that's really all I can say."
Just behind Miami, Alvarez likes Auburn and Florida to round out his top three.

"Auburn is a great school and has a strong football program," he said. "Florida is also a top program and they've shown alot of interest. I really can't go wrong between the three, but I've camped at Miami for three years now and I'm just much more familiar with them. They have a great program and people like Jeff Merk (director of football operations) are just great people."
Alvarez is hoping that Miami offers him over the next two weeks. The Hurriances, like all the other schools on his list, are recruiting him as an offensive guard/center or defensive tackle.
