Top-Notch DT Has Final Five

It has long been rumored that Miami has the clear edge in the battle for Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin defensive tackle Chris Anderson. However, that’s news to Anderson.
“I don’t have a leader,” said the 6-foot-3, 295-pounder. “I have a final five and Miami is in it, but I don’t think any of them lead over the others.”

Anderson’s final five consists of Miami, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina and Southern Cal. He’ll begin setting up visits in a month or so.
“I’m looking for early playing time at defensive tackle and a winning program,” he said. “I would say there’s about a 50-percent chance I’ll stay in Florida because this is home for me. But I want to see what USC has to offer out there in California and my ex-teammate Orus Lambert is talking up South Carolina a lot. Right now I’m just concentrating on the football season and recruiting will take of itself soon enough.”
