Top LB Staying Open

Things are evening out for Moncks Corner (S.C.) Berkeley linebacker Ryan Brown as the summer approaches. While at one point he seemed to be favoring two schools, he’s trying to stay more open as colleges visit him at high school.
“I have offers from South Carolina, Clemson and North Carolina and I like all three of them,” said the 6-foot-2, 235-pounder. “I’m also interested in Florida State, Georgia, Virginia, Florida and some others. I want to take my time.”

Brown has been visited by Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia so far this month with many others expected to stop by. He is looking for certain things in a school.
“I want to reach the NFL, that’s for sure,” he said. “I also want to feel comfortable with the defensive coordinator and play in a defense that fits me. I’m looking at all of those things.”
Brown grew up wanting to be a Seminole, but he’s certainly warming up to the local schools.
“The coaches from Clemson and South Carolina are great,” he said. “I also like that both are close enough to home, but right now I’m looking at all the schools interested in me.”
