Top Indiana QB has favorite

Norwell, Ind., quarterback Chandler Harnish is the top signal-caller in the Hoosier state. The 6-foot-3 and 210-pounder threw for 1845 yards during his junior season. Harnish completed 52% of his passes and had 22 touchdown tosses with 10 interceptions.
Harnish is a multi-dimensional quarterback who will drop into the pocket, work from the shot-gun, and run the speed option. Harnish rushed for 572 yards and five touchdowns last season.

"He is a Division 1 athlete," coach Jeff Miller said.
Not surprisingly, many recruiters are showing interest.
"Purdue, Indiana, Kentucky, Northern Illinois, and Northwestern," Harnish said. "I guess those are the main ones I'm looking at. All of them have been to my school.
"Purdue called. Northern Illinois sent a text message and I called them. Their head coach is coming to my school (today)."
Harnish has visited a number of schools.
"I've been to Ball State, Northern Illinois, and Purdue," he said. "I'm going to 1-day camps at a lot of Big Ten schools. I'll go to some MAC camps too, and a couple in the SEC like Kentucky and maybe Tennessee."
But one school stands out.
"Purdue is my favorite," Harnish said. "I've been there three or four times. It feels like the right fit for me."
