"I have set up one official visit to Virginia," Lipsey said. "I believe it's the weekend of September 7th. It's a home game against South Carolina.
"I want to set up (an official visit) to Stanford shortly after the Virginia visit. I guess after that we'll take it from there. Most of the big name and contender schools want to have their visits at the end of the season like the Gators and Miami."
Lipsey (6-4, 267) is looking forward to visiting UVa on a game weekend and would prefer to take as many official visits as possible during the football season.
"I would actually prefer to take the visits during the season not only to see the game atmosphere but to make a quicker decision," Lipsey said.
His current favorites?
"Virginia and Stanford are probably my favorites right now," Lipsey said.
Lipsey said his top five consisted of Virginia, Stanford, Florida, Miami, and Tennessee.
"I'd like to make a decision pretty soon but I don't think I will just because I want to take all the visits to make sure I know what I'm doing," Lipsey said.
Jordy Lipsey is rated as the No. 25 prospect in Florida in the latest edition of the FlaRecruiting.com Top 100.
