Top Florida CB visits Hoosiers

Four-star Miami (Fla.) Northwestern cornerback Trevor Ford made the first of his five scheduled official visits this weekend.
“I just got back from Indiana,” he said. “It was interesting. It snowed. That was pretty cool for somebody from Miami.

“I thought they had a nice environment up there. It’s a really nice school and the coaches and players were pretty cool. They have a lot of playing time to offer me. I don’t know if I’m going to be going there, though. My other four schools are probably a little bit ahead right now.”
Ford (6-1, 187, 4.4) is also plans to visit Kansas State (12/19), Florida State (1/9), Miami (1/16) and Ohio State (1/23).
“Those four are all pretty much the same,” he said. “The main things I’m looking for is a winning school where they produce a lot of good DBs and I can get a good education. That’s why I’m visiting these schools. They all meet those things for me.
“I’ll decide which one looks the best after I take all my visits.”
Miami, Florida State and Kansas State each made in-home visits with Ford last week. He said he expects Ohio State to come this week.
As a senior, Ford tallied 56 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and five interceptions in helping lead Northwestern to a 12-1 record. He is rated the No. 6 corner in the nation by Rivals.com.
