Top flight DB has favorites

One of west coast’s main defensive back targets this season is cornerback Leon Hall (5-11, 175, 4.4) from Vista, Calif. UCLA, USC, Washington, Arizona, Michigan, Colorado, San Diego State and Fresno State have all come up with offers.
It was thought early in the recruiting season that Hall was a lock for UCLA. Things have since changed. The word is that Hall almost committed to UCLA after their one-day camp last June but wanted to talk it over with his father. It was decided at that time that Hall would take trips to make sure that he make the right decision for himself.

“I don’t really have an obvious leader,” Hall said. “Currently Michigan and Washington have a slight lead.”
“I like Michigan’s and Washington’s academics,” Hall said. “I also like their football program and both schools football atmosphere.”
Hall has one visit set to Michigan January 10th. No other visits are set at this time but it’s a good bet that Washington will get one of the remaining visits.
“I will take it day by day when it comes to naming my other visits,” Hall said. “I would like to visit schools out of state because I can take unofficial visits to UCLA and USC.”
Hall was in the audience for the USC/Auburn game. He may show up this Saturday to take in the UCLA/Colorado game.
Hall and his Vista teammates stomped on Bonita Vista 47-20 last Friday night. Bonita Vista didn’t throw much to Hall’s man but he did give up one touchdown. He had excellent coverage on the play but the pass was picture perfect and Bonita Vista scored on the play.
Hall shut down his man the rest of the night.
Hall and his Vista teammates have a huge game tonight (September 20th) against five star running back Reggie Bush and his San Diego (Calif.) Helix teammates.
“We will have to contain Reggie and play good defense if we are to win,” Hall said.
Both Vista and Helix won their San Diego CIF Division championship in 2001.
Tonight (September 20th) will be an excellent test for two of the Golden State’s players…
