Culpeper (Va.) Culpeper County safety Kent Hicks has has a pretty solid top six for awhile now. However, one of the local favorites has dropped off the list...at least for now.
"I like, in no order, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Miami," said the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder who is raned as the No. 22 on the Rivals.com Atlantic East 80. "As soon as school starts, I'm hoping to take official visits to Tennessee and Boston College and I head to Maryland this upcoming weekend."
Hicks, who had 10 interceptions and more than 100 tackles as a junior, doesn't list Virginia amongst his leaders anymore. Why not?
"I don't know, I have to talk to Stef about that," he said of former teammate Stefan Orange, who is transferring from UVA after signing with the Cavs a couple of years ago. "I want to see what he has to say about things."
Hicks has offers from all of his favorites and doesn't plan on deciding anytime soon.
"After my official visits," he said. "I like each school for something different right now, but I don't know much about them until I see them and meet the players and coaches."
