Three-star defensive tackle Demetri McGill of Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes has announced a top five. The 6-foot-2, 290-pounder broke down his list and his upcoming schedule.
"I just released my top five," he said. "I have Old Dominion, James Madison, East Carolina, Cincinnati and Maryland on the list."

McGill explained why these five made the cut.
"Those are the schools I can see myself at," said McGill. "I can really see life after football at those programs. Of course, the football program is there as well. I like the coaches at those schools too."
Of the list, McGill noted that Maryland is currently standing out.
"I think Maryland is probably my No. 1 as of right now," he said. "I love the campus a lot and the coaches. I went to their camp and they showed me a lot of love when I was there."
Still, McGill is not closing the door on other schools.
"I'm still considering the other offers, but these five are my favorites out of the ten offers so far."
The lineman recently took in a camp at Virginia Tech last weekend and discussed the trip.
"I went to Virginia Tech's camp and I guess I'm on their list," he said. "They told me that I did pretty well. They told me they would be in touch with me and Coach Scott during the season."
McGill has one other camp coming up with his team this week at Old Dominion.
"That is from Wednesday until Friday," he said. "For the summer, I'm probably done outside of that. I know I am going to some games this fall though at schools."
McGill registered 74 tackles, 25 for loss and 12 sacks as he posted first team All-Beach, first team All-Tidewater and second team All- State honors as a junior.
