Top Central Florida OL Adds More Offers

Altamonte Springs, Fla.-Lake Brantley offensive lineman Jordy Lipsey had eight scholarship offers going into the May evaluation period and you can now add four more to that total.
"It was a great experience," Lipsey said. "I got four more offers. I got offers from UConn, South Carolina, Florida State, and Clemson."

Lipsey already had offers from Miami, Florida, Boston College, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Stanford, and Northwestern.
Any favorites?
"I'd probably say Miami, Florida, Virginia, Northwestern, Stanford, and Vanderbilt," Lipsey said.
Jordy Lipsey (6-4, 267, 4.9) has also been fielding phone calls from college coaches in addition to having recruiters watch him practice at Lake Brantley. Schools are allowed to make one phone call to a prospect during the May evaluation period.
"It's been interesting actually," Lipsey said. "May 1st I actually got about six or seven calls and then it slowed down for a couple days. Sporadically I'd get a call, maybe like four a week. A lot of coaches have told me that they're saving their call for the end of the month. Coaches do it different ways I guess with that."
Lipsey, considered a pure center prospect, is staying close to home this summer.
"No, I'm not going to any football camps," Lipsey said. "I'm going to be staying home and working out with the team and by myself. I'm also going to do the acceleration program down here."
Jordy Lipsey already has an impressive offer sheet from some outstanding schools. He said he will make a commitment only after he's had the opportunity to take at least a couple official visits.
"I want to make visits but after I make my visits I really don't see any point in waiting any longer (to commit)," Lipsey said. "Some guys wait until February 1st to make their decision. Once I see the schools and stuff like that I'm going to make my decision. That's what I think is probably the most fun in the process, the actual visit. I've talked to other players on unofficial visits and they just said make your trips. I may not take all of them but I definitely want to experience a couple."
