Top CB talks with Bowden

Jacksonville (Fla.) Andrew Jackson cornerback Leon Washington is the nation's top corner and one of the nation's top two-way threats.
So it's no surprise that Bobby Bowden made it clear to him this weekend that he can play about anywhere he wants.

"I like talking with coach Bowden," Washington said. "He's just so down to earth. He tells it how he sees it."
And how does he see it with Leon?
"He thinks I could come in an make an early impact," Washington, who is 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, said.
"That's exciting. FSU is still up there over the others, but I'm still going to take my visits."
Washington's first trip will be to Oklahoma on Dec. 14. He'll follow that up with a full month of January visits - Maryland on Jan. 4, Florida on Jan. 11, South Carolina on Jan. 18 and Florida State on Jan. 25.
"I'm going to enjoy this experience," he said. "I'm starting to get coaches to come visit me. I can't wait for the head coaches to come in. That'll be tight."
