South.
Quinton Harris, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound defensive tackle from Hall High
School in Little Rock, Ark., says LSU is currently the team to beat for his
services.
"The top thing is they've made me feel like part of
their family," he said. "I like the coaches, the players and the defense they
play is perfect for me. It's just a great school with great fans and they just
won an SEC championship."
Harris said the Tigers have made a scholarship offer
pending his passing the ACT.
"That won't be a problem at all," he said, noting a 2.7
GPA this past semester. "I know I'm going to get that done."
Harris said his current top five consists of LSU, Texas,
Iowa, Arkansas and Iowa State. He's also considering Mississippi State, where
he'll camp this summer.
"If I had to say today, it would be LSU, but I'm not
quite ready to make that final decision," he said. "The biggest thing on my mind right now is going to camp and trying to perfect my skills that will help me excell next year and at the next level. I want to learn what it takes to be the best player I can be."
As a junior, Harris (5.0 forty, 350 bench, 600 squat)
recorded 46 tackles, six sacks and six forced fumbles.
