Kendall Milton could be one of the best 2020 running backs nationally so his weekend visit to Arizona State was an important first step for the Sun Devils.

It might even be more crucial that the Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan star had an excellent time.

“(Saturday’s) visit was amazing,” Milton said.

“Got the opportunity to sit down with coaches like coach (Herm) Edwards, coach (John) Simon and coach (Antonio) Pierce and just hear what they have to offer at the university.”

The message was loud and clear and the 2020 running back definitely liked what he heard especially from the new head coach in Tempe.

“One thing that stood out to me about coach Edwards was that he kept everything real and didn’t sugarcoat it,” Milton said.

“Also, coach Simon showed us his philosophy and process with his running backs and his way of developing them and I liked that. It was an amazing experience and i will be back.”

Alabama is the most recent offer for Milton, who rushed for 1,514 yards and 23 touchdowns on 175 carries in his sophomore season.

The Clovis Buchanan standout plans to visit Florida State over spring break.

“Florida State has always been a special school to me because they produce a lot of talent to the NFL,” Milton said. “I want to see what coach (Donte’) Pimpleton’s process is of developing running backs and I want to see how coach (Willie) Taggart runs the program.”
