THE LATEST

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound Jennings was named to Rivals.com’s 20 prospects to watch in the class of 2020 back in May, and he delivered in Game 1 of his sophomore season, locking down his side of the field from the cornerback position. Early offers have come in from Kentucky, Syracuse, Temple and several Mid-American Conference schools. He is drawing interest from additional schools, including Pittsburgh and he plans to visit the Panthers on Sept. 16 for their home contest against Oklahoma State.

IN HIS WORDS

“I think (the Pitt Panthers) are very interested, and getting out to this game I think might help my recruiting process with them. I like the DB coach a lot. He was a cool dude.”

RIVALS’ REACTION

Jennings knows for sure that his teammate, Rivals100 class of 2019 quarterback Dwan Mathis, will be joining him on that visit to Pittsburgh. Another teammate, 2020 offensive guard Justin Rogers, is generating early offers and national attention as well. All three of those prospects have established themselves as top prospects in the state of Michigan and the Midwest for their respective classes and plan to make most of their recruiting visits together. Jennings is in no rush to make a decision and is letting the process come to him at this time, but is interested in continuing his career with Mathis and Rogers into college.
