Chris Adimora was virtually unknown this offseason until he showed up at USC’s camp, performed well and landed an offer from the Trojans.

Many other schools have now joined the growing list for the 2019 three-star defensive back from Lakewood (Calif.) Mayfair and there is definitely a Pac-12 feel to his recruitment so far.

Adimora lists offers from Boise State, USC, Utah, BYU and Montana State so far but other programs could be close.

“Coach (Kiel) McDonald from Utah has been showing high interest in me and also different coaches from the University of Colorado and Arizona State have also been in contact,” Adimora said.

After working out at USC and then receiving the offer from the Trojans, the Lakewood Mayfair prospect admits the Rose Bowl champs could be tough to beat in his recruitment.

It’s early but USC is definitely a special school to Adimora, who earlier this summer called the Trojans’ offer a “game-changer.”

“As of right now, USC is still that hot shot,” Adimora said. “Their football program is an amazing organization.”

Adimora said he was surprised when USC offered this summer and he thought it was special that he was the only safety offered at the time.

In recent weeks, the three-star prospect said Penn State, Notre Dame and Cal were showing new interest as well.
