Top 2014 OT claims four offers

Offers are piling up for Olney (Md.) Good Counsel 2014 offensive lineman Sam Mustipher. The 6-foot-4, 286-pounder claims four offers to date, but according to his father he's close to landing more soon.
"He just got some info from Wisconsin recently and is probably going to get an offer from Penn State soon when we go up there in the next couple weeks," his father, Sam Mustipher said. "He also got a letter from UCLA and we're about to send them his highlight tape. Hopefully an offer comes from them. He'll probably get more offers during the next visitation period."

At this time, Mustipher holds verbal offers from Illinois, NC State, Ohio State and Tulane.
"He's gotten offers since he was a freshman, but it's always great news."
Mustipher plans to take a few visits coming up.
"I know we're going to take a few unofficial visits," he said. "We're going to go to Virginia and probably hit West Virginia, maybe South Carolina. We'll probably look into Wisconsin or Michigan too. It'll be a combination of visits this spring and through the summer."
Meanwhile, many other schools are interested too including Maryland, Colorado and more.
Does he like anyone?
"He's trying to keep an open mind," his father said. "He wants to finish up his sophomore season and doesn't have anyone stand out over the others. But, we'll probably narrow it down after his junior season. If I know my son, he'll probably have a top five choices and declare early instead of waiting until Signing Day."
Mustipher led the way on Good Counsel's line as a sophomore while earning sophomore All-American honors.
"He has good explosion off the ball, excellent footwork and is very intelligent," he said. "He's smart on the field as well as off. He actually has a 4.5 GPA right now and that intelligence transfers from the classroom to the field. He's a hard worker and wants it. He has a goal of being one of the top linemen for his class in the country, that's what he's focused on."
With two years to go, what does he need to improve on?
"I think he still needs to work on his speed," he said. "He's committed to doing that this offseason. He also wants to continue to get stronger. His bench is about 335 or 340. He wants to continue to increase his bench, squat and power clean to get his core even stronger."
