Top 2013 DL camps at Auburn

2013 defensive end Kenny Bigelow of Bear (Del.) Red Lion Christian Academy has been one of the more dominant underclassmen in the region at several spring and summer events. This weekend he decided to take his talents to Auburn to see how he matched up against some of the top talent in the South.
"I think I did great," said Bigelow, who is 6-foot-3 and 270-pounds. "I showcased my speed and explosiveness during drills."

Bigelow noticed the elevation of competition at the Auburn camp.
"The competition was a lot better down south than it is up here," said Bigelow. "There were a lot more athletic tackles at the camp."
Aside from the camp experience, Bigelow also had a chance to check out the campus for the first time.
"I thought it was beautiful," said Bigelow. "It has some really nice features, like the weight room and indoor field facilities."
The coaches at Auburn also impressed Bigelow.
"The coaches remind me of the ones I have now," said Bigelow. "They're great guys. All of them push you to be the best and they know how to win."
Overall, Bigelow already holds several offers, including from Auburn, Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois and Connecticut. Aside from the schools that have offered, serious interest has recently arrived from Clemson.
With this Auburn camp complete, Bigelow will now focus on his upcoming junior season.
"I think I'm done with everything for the summer," said Bigelow. "We start camp on August 1st. I have been working on my technique and hips. I think my get off is great, but my technique and moving my hips with my hands at the same time could be better."
