Top 2009 WR has favorites

2008 recruiting is just starting up, but teams are already looking ahead to 2009. One player that will get national attention is Cambridge (Mass.) Cambridge Rindge and Latin School wide receiver Joshua Adams. What's the latest with the 6-foot-3, 195-pounder?
"His name is starting to heat up," Cambridge head coach Paul Gonnella said. "I know he loves Florida and Boston College of course. He actually went down to Florida over the summer and formed a relationship with coach Drayton at camp. It was a good experience for him. A lot of the cornerbacks there took him on and he had difficulty getting separation. He doesn't take that and came home learning a lot from the trip. It made him realize he's got a lot of work to do still.

"As far as colleges, I know that Josh wants to go to a team that likes to throw the ball. A few other schools are checking him out too including South Carolina. I'm sure it'll get really heavy once September of his junior year comes around."
Gonnella went on to rave about his 2009 star.
"He needs to do some stuff still, but Josh has the ability in my opinion with his height and jumping ability to be one of the top wide receivers in 2009," he said. "The sky is the limit for him. He went into track this year to work on his game and he ended up being the third best high jumper in the state and it was the first time he had ever done it.
"He's also probably going to get bigger. I think he'll get up to 6-foot-5 according to his doctor. On top of that, he's a nice kid that comes from a great home life. His parents are down-to-earth and he articulates himself very well and is polite."
Last season Adams hauled in 20 receptions and four touchdowns.
