Top 100 LB has new leader

Longview, Texas, standout Marvin Byrdsong has a new leader and one new official visit lined up.
"I'm going to visit OU on Dec. 7," he said. "I've really started to like what I'm hearing from them. The coaches recruiting me all think I could come in there and play pretty quickly."

The Oklahoma visit is new news, but not the biggest.
"I'd put Arkansas as my top team," Byrdsong said. "Did you watch that game the other night? That was incredible. Those coaches were right there supporting the players, and that's the type of team work that I like."
Byrdsong said the final three trips on his list would be to Texas, LSU and either Florida State or Mississippi State. He had been previously listing Texas or Mississippi State as his top team.
“Texas or the other guys haven’t been slipping,” he said. “It’s just that I’m really excited about what’s going on at Arkansas. They’re doing it with a lot of east Texas players that I read about or knew when they were in high school.”
