Toohill still waiting on major offers

Casey Toohill has a lot of impressive offers but the San Diego (Calif.) Cathedral Catholic linebacker is still waiting on many high-profile schools and he is planning one more trip before his senior season.
The 6-foot-3, 231-pound linebacker is receiving a lot of attention from Stanford and USC so before he makes any decision Toohill wants to see if either of those Pac-12 powers decides to offer.

"I'm still looking at a lot of schools," Toohill said. "I went to the Stanford camp and I went to the USC camp and I'm still kind of waiting to hear especially from Stanford. They told me to be patient and I'm trying to wait and see what happens with them.
"I'm very interested in them. I've been looking into Vanderbilt, too. I think I'm going to go out there and camp later in July. I'm going to go out there because they told me to come to camp and they're interested in me, too.
"I'm just looking forward to being patient and seeing what happens."
Stanford is definitely of interest to Toohill, who has already landed offers from Boston College, Dartmouth, Harvard, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, Utah, Utah State, Washington, Washington State and Yale.
The Cardinal don't necessarily move fast in recruiting so Toohill is willing to remain patient although he would prefer to make a decision before his season gets underway.
"I'm not really sure if they want to go through the whole summer," Toohill said. "They want to see some more guys but they're very interested. With how slow they are academically and in general they're telling me to be patient although they are interested.
"I would like to make a decision before the season but I'm willing to keep my options open because I'm still waiting to see what happens with these schools. I'm keeping in mind the schools that have offered me. I want to see as many as I can of those and just keeping my options open."
Because the San Diego Cathedral Catholic linebacker still has a trip to Vanderbilt this summer and he's still waiting to hear more from some Pac-12 schools, Toohill doesn't want to name a frontrunner yet.
"It's a little early," Toohill said. "It also depends on what happens over these next few months. I'm still trying to figure that out and I want to visit some schools and see what happens."
