Toohill close to decision

Casey Toohill sounds like someone who might be ready to make his commitment.
The three-star linebacker from San Diego (Calif.) Cathedral Catholic is taking an unofficial visit to Stanford and he said he's seriously thinking about making a pledge while he's on campus.

The Cardinal offered in the last week or so and Toohill said that program has just about everything he's looking for and a commitment could be coming.
"I'm at Stanford," Toohill said. "I'm taking an unofficial visit and I'm going to watch practice.
"I'm strongly considering (a commitment). I'm really interested in them. I got to see the campus. I have very high interest in it so I'm seriously considering it."
The 6-foot-3, 231-pound prospect said there is a lot to like about the campus, the program, the athletic and academic sides and it sounds like a decision could be close for the California linebacker.
"The campus is obviously beautiful," Toohill said. "The academics are amazing. I love the coaches. I love the environment. The Stanford football model I really respect and appreciate and I'd love to be a part of it.
"Once I got the offer I said I have to really strongly consider this because it's a huge deal.
"I'm really, really excited about it. I'm excited about what they have to offer. The program is amazing. I don't think there is any program in the country that combines athletics and academics like they do. It's really impressive and exciting."
Toohill has also been offered by Boston College, Dartmouth, Harvard, Nevada, San Diego State, Utah, Utah State, Washington, Washington State and Yale.
