Too early for Tucker

Olajuwon Tucker recently landed an offer from Arizona State and he's happy with where his recruitment is headed but the Gardena (Calif.) Serra is not ready to make any commitment yet.
So far, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound three-star defensive end has offers from Arizona State, Colorado State, Miami, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah.

Tucker's older brother, Tim, took a visit to Arizona State and seemingly loved the campus even though he ended up at Washington a few years ago. Still, that is an interesting side note for Tucker, who said he's definitely interested in the Sun Devils early on.
"I received an offer from Arizona State," Tucker said. "There are others showing interest but I don't know if they're going to offer right now.
"(Arizona State) is talking a lot about how it's a great school. My older brother went up there for recruiting and everything and he liked it up there. He actually went up to Washington to play fullback and linebacker but he went to Arizona State for a visit and liked it."
Miami is definitely a school of interest for Tucker and so is Arizona State among others like Utah and since he hasn't taken any visits yet, the Gardena Serra standout doesn't want to name any frontrunners.
Tucker said he wants to wait until he can take some official trips before naming any leaders so that means he'll have to wait until the fall. The three-star seems fine with waiting around to see if others want to get involved.
"It's still kind of early for favorites," Tucker said. "I'd rather get to know the coaches a little bit better and then make my final decision.
"I'm going to have to wait for officials. I'll wait to make my decision."
Utah has been a standout school for Tucker but he's still waiting to see what else happens through the summer. Camp stops at USC, UCLA and possibly Boise State could change his outlook as his senior season approaches.
