Tongo rates Jackets visit highly

Three-star linebacker Osahon Tongo out of Naperville (Ill.) Naperville North took his second official visit of the season to Georgia Tech this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 223-pounder enjoyed taking in the Yellow Jackets big game with in-state rival Georgia even though they lost in a tough defensive battle.
"It was a nice visit," he said. "I liked the whole city and atmosphere there and I got to see the student body come support the team. I got up there on Friday and mostly just toured the campus saw the academics including the school of management which was nice. Today I met with coach Gailey. It was a pretty good conversation with him as I asked a few questions including what his goals are with student athletes."

Being a linebacker, Tongo was impressed by both teams' defenses in the 14-7 struggle.
"I liked the whole defensive scheme and Georgia Tech was fighting the whole time," he said. "It was a great game to watch for defense and I liked how each of them blitzed and the different schemes they ran. I also liked the atmosphere there at it was loud and exciting."
The No. 18 inside linebacker in the country rated his trip to Atlanta a nine.
"It was a pretty good visit," he said. "I definitely liked Georgia Tech and I'd say they are up there amongst the other teams I'm looking at. I'm definitely impressed with what I saw."
In early October, Tongo took his first official to Boston College. How did the visits compare?
"This was a little bit different from Boston College in the atmosphere," he said. "Both visits were good in their own ways and I'd have to say I liked both of them a lot."
Tongo has not scheduled any other officials to date as he's still finalizing his last three teams.
