Tommy Tremble trims list, decision 'coming soon'

Tommy Tremble exploded onto the recruiting scene early in the spring picking up offer after offer. After visit close to a dozen schools, the 6-foot-4, 225 pound tight end out of Norcross (Ga.) Wesleyan has trimmed his list to six schools.

It is not a top six, but a final six for the No. 19-ranked tight end in the country.

"It is Tennessee, Georgia, UCLA, Notre Dame, Fresno State and South Carolina now for me" said Tremble. "I am down to those schools and I will be committing to one of them."

Committing soon — could be very soon.

He has visited each of his finalists and he has been in regular communication with most of the coaching staffs for months now, so he is not planning to wait too long before he makes his decision.

"I will likely commit to one of the six schools in July. I do not know exactly when or a specific date, but it will probably be pretty soon.

"I have been talking with my parents about it and I feel I am pretty close to a decision."

There is not something really different about each of the schools that remain in contention for Tremble outside of one. They are a lot alike and that is why Tremble knows his decision will be a tough one.

"Fresno State was the first school to offer me, so that is a big part of why they are on the list," said Tremble. "I did visit them and it was nice there too though.

"With all the schools, I like the coaches, I like the campus, and on every visit, I just had a nice feel when I was there. I know it is not going to be easy for me to choose one."

There is a lot of speculation out there about who Tremble is favoring with his recruitment nearing an end, but if there is a leader, he would not tip his hand.

"Every school still has a chance right now," said Tremble. "This decision is probably going to be the toughest decision I have ever had to make in my life.

"I am still looking over the academics, the football, the coaches, the campus and everything with each of the schools on the list.

"I know I have a big decision to make. It is going to be so tough."
