Tolzien is Big Ten bound

Palatine (Ill.) Fremd quarterback Scott Tolzien, who made official visits to Toledo and Kentucky, didn't need to take one to Wisconsin. All Tolzien needed was a scholarship offer from the Badgers to decide he wants to play his college football in Madison.
"I didn't visit Wisconsin (Saturday)," Tolzien said. "We had a basketball game and there's a rule you can't play in a school event and make an official visit on the same day.

"But I talked to coach Bielema on the phone. It went real well. He offered and I committed."
When asked what sold him on Wisconsin over Toledo, Tolzien replied, "All aspects really. Obviously it's the Big Ten. The facilities are unbeatable. And I like the atmosphere."
Tolzien had previously been to Wisconsin on unofficial visits.
"I like the total football program," Tolzien said. "But the academics set Wisconsin apart. That's what I liked most.
"And it's only two hours away."
The 6-foot-2 and 174-pound Tolzien threw for 2000 yards in leading his team to a 10-1 record this past season. Tolzien threw for 26 touchdowns with just five interceptions.
Tolzien is the No. 32 pro-style quarterback in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 29 prospect in the state of Illinois.
