Toledo lean more than that now

About a month ago, Warrensville Heights, Ohio, receiver Trumaine Smith said he was leaning heavily toward Toledo. However, a month later he’s now more than leaning.
He’s committed.

“I committed to Toledo just the other day,” Smith a two-star 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver, said. “The reason I picked Toledo was because it would be the best spot for me as far as seeing the field early. I’m going to enroll in January and be there for spring practice. It’s just the best fit for me.”
Toledo was his lone offer, he said, but most of that can be attributed to a new coach at his school and the fact that his coach didn’t help promote him or send film off to teams like Michigan and Michigan State.
“I camped up with those guys and they liked me,” Smith said. “They just wanted to see some tape. I guess they never got it.”
In the end, it’s Toledo’s gain, though. Smith will visit Toledo on December 12.
