Toledo holds slight edge with 2018 quarterback

THE LATEST: The starting quarterback at one of Florida’s top high school football programs, Daniel Richardson is equipped with a few scholarship offers. That much kind of comes with the territory. Toledo, Florida Atlantic and Florida International have all made things official already. And while Richardson plans to explore each option further, he’s also hoping more programs jump onto his offer list before Signing Day 2018.

That said, an favorite exists.

IN HIS WORDS: “I know my school is camping at, like, Florida State and a few other places this year. I’m getting a lot of interest from NC State and Purdue, though.”

RIVALS REACTION: Toledo’s wide-open offense excited Richardson, but FIU could make a strong push when its new coaching staff gets settled. Richardson’s limited size will likely prohibit him from attracting a massive lift of major offers, but a school could get a steal by landing the versatile quarterback. His recruitment will likely feature a handful of FBS schools from smaller conferences.
