Toailoa planning big local trip

Lokeni Toailoa has seen his recruitment take off in the last year but the 2016 four-star linebacker has taken a step back from the process.
The Rialto (Calif.) Wilmer Carter standout is really just focused on finishing out the season strongly and that starts this weekend with the playoffs getting underway.

Toailoa's team lost to Redlands (Calif.) East Valley last weekend and the 2016 four-star said it's time to refocus - which means recruiting has been put on the back burner for now.
"We kind of got our butts whooped (Friday) night," Toailoa said. "The winner took the league and the No. 1 seed in playoffs so we need to refocus.
"It's a new season. That was definitely an eye-opener. We were on a 7-game win streak and to lose like that was definitely a reality check for us. I'm going to focus on the team especially with playoffs nothing is guaranteed."
Recruiting has slowed down throughout the season but Toailoa, who has 75 tackles and six sacks so far, has already landed a lot of offers.
The four-star prospect who's the top-rated inside linebacker in the 2016 class by Rivals.com has already been offered by Arizona State, Boise State, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Louisville, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Rutgers, San Diego State, UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin.
Toailoa has not had much time to take any unofficial visits outside of Los Angeles this season but he's planning to attend the upcoming USC-UCLA game at the Rose Bowl. It could be another big step early in his recruitment.
"I'll definitely be at that game but it's pretty much the same with everybody else," Toailoa said.
"Just the fact that they're both recruiting me hard and that it's been a rivalry since football even started. I'm really looking forward to the game and the atmosphere."
