TN standout picks up another big SEC offer

Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy has a long tradition of college football talent and the class of 2009 is no different as offensive lineman Alex Bullard already holds 14 offers from some very prestigious programs. The high school offensive tackle picked up a new one recently from one of the SEC's best.
"This morning when I was talking to the coach, Coach Addazio he told me that they were offering me," Bullard said. "I think I'll get it in writing soon. He was talking to me about the school saying how Florida offers a good program and they're going to compete for championships."

Strong academically, Bullard has maintained that the quality of his education is important to him in college. His talk with Coach Addzio, who he hadn't spoken to before, opened his eyes to the level of a Florida education.
"He was saying that they're a top academic program and 2nd in the SEC academically," he said. "I was really excited about the offer as a matter of fact. Competing for the national and SEC Championship is exciting and I didn't know that they were that solid academically. They are definitely a school I'm interested, especially now that they're interested in me."
Bullard is an athletic and versatile offensive lineman and his skills clearly came through on the film that the Florida coaching staff evaluated.
"Coach just said that they watched my tape and loved it and loved my aggression and said that it looked like I love football," he said.
The coaches' insight was accurate about Bullard's love for the game as he can't wait to get on the field for Spring Practice.
"[We start] May 5th," he said. "I gotta get back on field and have fun and get ready to win us a state championship."
Bullard has no visit plans to date but hopes to take a closer look at some programs this summer.
"As of right now I'm just going to gather more information this spring and after this Spring I'll probably start narrowing down my list and taking some visits."
