Titusville safety now has seven offers

Titusville (Fla.) strong safety Renford Parkes is one of the top players from Florida's Space Coast and he attended several football camps over the summer. Parkes has also added to his offer total. The 6-foot-1, 200 pound athlete with 4.47 speed currently has seven scholarship offers and now lists a top two.

Renford Parkes attended camps at UCF, South Florida, and Florida State this summer. He thought he did especially well at the FSU camp held earlier this month.

"I went there and I did pretty good," Parkes said. "I think I was one of the top recruits there. Somebody by the name of Dwight Thomas, he's a recruiting analyst I guess, says I was one of the best there."

Renford Parkes previously received scholarship offers from UCF, Stanford, Duke, UConn, South Florida, and Rutgers and got another over the summer.

"I got one more and I have a total of seven (offers) now," Parkes said. "I just got offered by Bethune-Cookman."

Any current favorites?

"Right now I'm thinking about Stanford and UCF," Parkes said. "That's for right now and things could change. I'm still getting mail from colleges. All of them are saying that they're still interested and they're going to check me out in the fall. Once the fall comes I think I'm going to get a lot more offers."

To round out his top five, Parkes listed Duke, Florida, and Florida State.
