Tisdale and Florida part ways

Tyrek Tisdale's decision to re-open his recruitment isn't a unique thing by any stretch. Tisdale parted ways with Florida, to which he was previously committed, on Monday evening and provided a vague explanation for the decision.

His approach to the situation is, in a lot of ways, standard.
"I just wanted open things up and explore my options a little more before making a solid decision," Tisdale said when reached by phone on Monday. "I haven't talked to the Florida coaches yet, but I'm going to."
According to Tisdale, West Virginia, Oregon State, Indiana, FAU, South Carolina and USF will all receive hard looks now that he is once again an uncommitted prospect.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Tisdale will plan official visits in the near future, with West Virginia being the only lock to make the list. Which schools round out the group will be determined by which programs get aggressive in the coming weeks. According to Tisdale, he will not rush into another verbal commitment. Instead, he intends to wait until after his senior season to choose a college.
IN HIS WORDS: "The only visit I have is to West Virginia in December, but I don't know what game yet," Tisdale said. "I'll get other ones set soon, as other schools get involved."
RIVALS' REACTION:It's unclear what exactly caused Tisdale and Florida to part ways. Either way, it seems as though Oregon State and West Virginia will be strong contenders to land his commitment. Other schools are likely to get involved as well, but the Mountaineers and Beavers seem to be in good position for the time being. Tisdale has already visited Oregon State and seemed to be extremely impressed with the experience.
