Tiny PA back is a major talent

Running back Marcel Farrish may be a tiny back at just 5-foot-7, 175-pounds, but he is getting some major college interest. Who is the Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills prospect hearing from so far?
"He is getting mail from Penn State, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and plenty of others," said Woodland Hills head coach George Novak. "I'm not sure who he is looking at right now, but he was our star player last year and I can bet he'll get his share of offers later this spring."

What makes Farrish stand out as a prospect?
"Marcel is a very strong and powerful kid that is incredibly fast. He has the power to run inside through the tackles, but can also use his speed outside and outrun you," he said. "It seems like he has been playing football his whole life because he is a natural football player. He is an all-around back that has great hands and blocks too."
The running back prospect was named first team all-conference after rushing for 1,857 yards and 24 touchdowns last season.
Farrish isn't just a great player, but a solid student too.
"He grew up in a real poor environment, but managed to still be very well rounded person," he said. "He manages to keep a B average and is a real quiet kid that is all about the team."
