Tigers, Vols talking to Florida RB
After rushing for 2,054 yards and 29 touchdowns, it’s no surprise that teams from all over the nation are showing more interest in Lakeland (Fla.) George Jenkins running back Tyease Thompson.
Thompson, who is 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, already had an impressive list of offers, but there are some impressive teams coming into the picture now.

Thompson already has offers from UConn (December 5) and Iowa State (December 12) and Pittsburgh, but new teams like LSU and Tennessee are very much in the picture.
“I went up to Tennessee last week for an unofficial visit,” Thompson said. “It was tight. I liked what I saw. They have a bunch of kids from Florida making big plays for them. They came by the school last week and got my transcript and are seriously talking to me about offering.”
Another team coming into the picture is LSU. Thompson said he’s going to visit LSU in January, but couldn’t remember what weekend he’s got set up.
Georgia, Florida and Florida State were mentioned in previous updates, but he did not mention those teams this time around.
