Tigers the only offer for Davis

Colleyville (Texas) Heritage defensive end Alan Davis continues to hold just one scholarship offer.

“I went to the Nike camp a couple of weeks ago,” the 6-foot-2, 237-pound Davis said. “I feel I did pretty good at the camp. I ran a 4.75 40-yard dash and had a 31-inch vertical jump. The word I’ve heard from several schools is that they really liked my workouts.”
Despite the good performance, only LSU has come forward with a scholarship offer.
“Right now, LSU is the only offer. Texas Tech, Texas, Arizona State, Auburn, Iowa State and Baylor have expressed a lot of interest to my coach.”
Davis did take a trip to Texas to check out the school and campus.
“I had a good time at Texas. They were good to visit with. I got a good look at things there. But, they said they want to look at me some more this summer, hopefully at their football camp in June.”
With several schools’ interest growing, Davis isn’t ready to eliminate anyone.
“I don’t want to name a top group of schools at this point. There are several schools that I like. I don’t want to cut any school out of my list now. I’d really consider myself to be wide open at this point.”
