"I committed to Missouri today," Ray said. "I actually did it about 5 p.m. today. You’re the first person outside the coaches and my family to know."
Ray, who is 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, picked MU over SMU, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, Tulsa and a few other schools.
Ray is a three-star selection and ranked as the nation's No. 53 receiver. He is ranked also as the state of Oklahoma's No. 10 player.
Ray said he was sold after his official visit to Columbia this past weekend.
"Brad Smith was my host," Ray said. "I don't want to play with any other quarterback than Brad Smith. He's a great person, great athlete and a great Christian.
"I met some of the receivers up there this weekend and it was just right for me. The perfect fit."
