Tigers lead for Campbell

Aldine, Texas offensive tackle Daniel Campbell will be visiting LSU's junior day this weekend with several Houston-area national prospects.
Campbell (6-6, 320-pounds) joins J.B. Shugarts, Sam McGuffie and DeSean Hales, who will all take in the Tiger campus and football program.

"Right now, LSU would be my favorite, but I haven't been offered by them," Campbell said. "I'm going to take in a few one-day camps this summer like LSU, Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to get some perspective."
While the Tigers haven't pulled the trigger on Campbell, schools like Florida, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma have already offered the decorated lineman.
"I got the paper work from OSU the other day," Campbell said. "I talked with (Oklahoma) coach (Bob) Stoops and he verbally offered me also."
Campbell is a two-time, all-district selection and has started since his freshman year.
The Longhorns apparently aren't involved with Campbell with several commitments from junior offensive lineman already in the fold.
"I really believe that Texas was his favorite, but they [received commitments] from three offensive lineman and let us know that they wouldn't be recruiting Daniel," Aldine coach Bob Jones said. "I told them not to come back in on him though."
"Daniel is a special guy with great grades, great size and great athletic ability. When Urban Meyer visits us before the national championship game and offers, we know we've got a good one."
