Tigers land in-state sleeper

According to TigerBait.com, LSU has used the momentum from their big weekend upset over Tennessee to come away with a solid commitment in the recruiting ranks.
Fortier defensive end Tory Collins committed to LSU over the weekend. The 6-foot-3, 255 pound chose the Tigers after an exceptional official visit on the Auburn game weekend and LSU’s win the SEC Championship game.

“He just loves LSU,” Fortier coach Robert Welch said. “It’s a lot closer to home and easier for his family members to see him play. He had a great experience for the Auburn game plus the SEC championship.”
Collins bench presses over 400 pounds and is a full academic qualifier with a 72 on the ACT and a 2.5 grade point average in core courses.
The New Orleans native has been named all-district for three straight years and was district MVP after his junior season. He was named All-state and is his teams MVP for two straight seasons.
